Trading Your Week​

   While you may love your week at The Harwichport Resort Club, you may be the type of person that likes to see new places and go on new adventures. With the option to exchange your week, the possibilities are endless. 


    So if you would like to try something new, you can! However, if you decide to keep your week and stay with us, simply don’t exchange it. It’s an easy and flexible way to manage your vacation travel options. 

EXCHANGE TIPS / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Exchange with Resort Condominiums International (RCI)

RCI offers the most flexibility and largest time window of use. It is very important that you familiarize yourself with how exchanges work and what the benefits are. Your RCI Directory and other RCI literature lay out the exchange program in great detail. Please feel free to call your home resort to speak with someone that may be able to answer your questions before exchanging your week. 

How can I give my week to RCI?

You will need to sign up for an RCI membership by either calling RCI or going to rci.com. Make sure all fees are current. (Harwichport Resort Maintenance Fees & RCI Membership/Subscription Fees).

When should I give my week to RCI?

The earlier you decide to deposit your week to RCI the better, as it will give you more trading power to help you get the vacation you desire. NOTE: By depositing 2 years to 9 months before the start date of your week you can help maximize your Deposit’s Trading Power.


Do I have to trade for the same week/unit size that I own?

With RCI, you do not have to trade for the same week or unit size that you own at the Harwichport Resort Club. You might own a studio at Harwichport in April, but you could potentially trade it for a larger unit anywhere in the world for any time in the future. 

What if I can't find my desired location at a time that works for me?

If your desired resort or location destination is not immediately available be sure to initiate an "Ongoing Search" with RCI. An Ongoing Search enables the RCI system to continue a constant (24/7) search for your desired destination rather than just searching the few minutes you are on RCI.com or on the phone with the RCI call center.

Tips for making successful exchanges:

Plan early

Make sure to deposit your week (2 yrs – 9 months prior to start date) and request an exchange as early as possible. Starting early helps increase your vacation options.

Be flexible

The more options you are open to the more likely you are to find a great vacation more quickly. Remember there are 4500+ RCI affiliated resorts worldwide. If you can only travel one specific week be open to a search for multiple resorts and/or locations.

If you desire to travel to one specific destination open a search for multiple dates and/or resorts in that location.
